space and wire

yesterday i got access to miller to just do a once over to see where i will be placing everything, that places has the creepies feel even without everything in it, also i got some chicken wire to start building my human forms.

ok i guess then last one didn't show up all the way, well like i was saying i want to just get blocks of foam and carve them roughly to look like the positions in each of the pictures and then project each picture onto them so i can do more then one room of projection

new idea

i have been thinking about instead of a mannequin for my project doing rough foam carve outs in the basic form of each picture, that way i can have more then one room, i would really like some feedback on this idea

space

so i have been told who to talk to about using the miller building, i will be going to talk to him tomorrow about it, the only problem might be that there is no power in that building, but i think i can get a generator from my dad, hopefully this space will work out and make my life easier.

solved

so i have overcame the problem by buying some better batteries that are rechargeable and a charger, i have some picture times set up tonight and my editing is coming alone nicely, next goal is location location location!!!!

so far

one big problem i am trying to overcome in my project thus far is that my camera has been acting up, only working when it wants to and draining the battery very quickly. so i am debating getting one from IT to finish up my pictures, this camera prevented me from getting some of the pictures back home.

spring break

4 hours away from spring break!!!! i'm sure everyone else is excited like me, spring break is going to be great for my project because i have upwards of ten people lined up to be part of my project at home, and i will be takeing my computer home to get extra work done.

keepin it up

I'm getting more and more pictures done, and i'm really starting to get excited about this project, its also been cool that the people i am photographing are also getting into the project by suggesting different positions and areas where they can have there photos done.

start up

so i have finally started taking the pictures for my project, and i hope to have two of them nearly done tonight to see what you guys think of the, see you all in class.

the mind is a strange place

so i have been reading deeply on the mind of a serial killer and its very interesting, most of the serial killers that claim to have "monsters" in their heads telling them what to do have suffered from injuries in certain parts of their minds, also i have lost some of my misconception about serial killers after reading a list of ten things that are usually just put into movies to make it more dynamic, the big one being that serial killers don't just kill one group of people, they usually kill for the killing alone they just look for the easiest targets. Well i am going to start taking pictures in the next couple of days so if any one wants to be in them let me know, i already got some people lined up but i could always use more

ideas

so i have been brainstorming some idea, one that i came up with was to make the victims faceless so that the focus would be on the killer and not so much on the victims, because the piece is meant to be a dive into the killers psyche and to the killer it is more about the killing and less about the people they kill. bounce any ideas off me. really need some comments!!!

blog

after reading the blog, that i must say had so many useless words in it that i felt like crying, i picked through it and basically got that art seems to no longer is being done for the pure enjoyment of doing art that you enjoy, because you either have to worry too much about what people think or you have to make it go hand in hand with this "use value" that society wants so bad. This plays big into my idea of what i want to do, as of right now my piece might be a little too extreme, as Jessica has stated, so i have been brainstorming idea of how to numb it down all week which is quite hard when you really love an idea, i have some ideas how to numb the shock effect but i am always looking for additional input so drop me a comment

will work for food

in class, yeah i do think a lot in my other classes, so one thing i need that i didn't talk about too much is that i need girls to be the "victims" in my piece, not trying to be sexist he is a serial so he kills one kind of thing/it would be impossible to project male and female on the same mannequin. sooo anyone that wants to be a model for it let me know here or via email(you get all the fun of being bound up, idk i guess some people are into that.), there is gonna be a particular size requirement once i find a mannequin because the pictures will looked weird if i have to resize them, for right now all i need is like head shots of like walking down the street or what not for the killers room.

Planning
