blog

after reading the blog, that i must say had so many useless words in it that i felt like crying, i picked through it and basically got that art seems to no longer is being done for the pure enjoyment of doing art that you enjoy, because you either have to worry too much about what people think or you have to make it go hand in hand with this "use value" that society wants so bad. This plays big into my idea of what i want to do, as of right now my piece might be a little too extreme, as Jessica has stated, so i have been brainstorming idea of how to numb it down all week which is quite hard when you really love an idea, i have some ideas how to numb the shock effect but i am always looking for additional input so drop me a comment

  1. Mitch,

You shouldn't decrease the impact of your piece. I just want you to think about the potential problems some may have with your subject matter. Although you are not trying to be sexist, having women victims may come across as promoting violence towards women. And I know that is not what you want people to think.

So I think it would be helpful if you considered why you are drawn towards this subject matter and what you want the viewer to get from it. The mind of a killer is fascinating but it is also a very heavy subject that you have to be careful with.
